Recently, Novak and Kalin [4] showed that the electrochemical
properties of the contact surfaces and lubricant fluid affects the
friction and wear response of water lubricated sliding tests
performed with alumina–alumina, which are in agreement with
Xu and Kato. They analyzed the influence of water pH, dissolution
and surface charge during the tests. However, Novak and Kalin
have not reached the superlubricity.
