California Prep International School organized the “Wai Kru” Ceremony, in which students expressed their appreciation to the faculty members, on September 22, 2011, at the Conference Hall. This year, nineteen faculty members, led by Dr. Phakdee Mangmeewattana (the Director of CPIS), participated in the “Wai Kru” ceremony. Mild, a grade 9 student and Like, grade 10 student, served as masters of the ceremony. As each part of the ceremony unfolds, the essence of respect and gratitude to the teachers was expressed through poems and songs. Parents, friends and visitors graced the ceremony with their presence and support.
This tradition is strongly recognized at CPIS for as the child leaves their first teachers in life, namely their parents, to attend school and carry on learning from a whole new set of teachers, they must continue to develop the values instilled at home
