This happens occasionally. Basically the pi lot reads low. (It is actually nominal, but reads narrow.) In order the hit the WPE, the remaining bars from the child lot are tilted much shorter.
Since the pi lot read narrow, the child bars are over tilted and end up wide.
The CBNoise observation is just a test artifact. Wide writer material reads worse for CTQ_DCBN. It is supposed to be a reader test, but actually scales with writer width. We have seen this on a lot of programs
(Why not fix the test? We have tried.)
The passing HGA's from this build are really different from many other wide passing heads. The problem is that there are a lot of them.
Usually the drive will trade off narrow heads against wide heads .... TPI vs BPI. If all the heads are wide, we cannot push the BPI.
The risk of a lot of this material is ATI in drive ... wide heads with a short BP.
The heads are wide, but the OVW does not seem to be too strong. It is -40 dB , not -50 dB.
