Radiographic examination
A detailed radiographic examination is essential to
establish the extent of the injury to the supporting tissues,
the stage of root development, and the relation to
the permanent successors. Depending on the child’s
ability to cope with the procedure and the type of
injury suspected, the clinician should decide which
radiograph is required for confirming diagnosis.
Always consider minimizing the risk of radiation to the
child. Several angles are recommended. Select the
