Daya Bay, adjacent to Hong Kong, is one of the most important
economic development districts and mariculture areas in Guangdong
Province, with a coastal line of 92 km and an area of 600 km2.
There are a few small seasonal streams flowing into the bay, and the
Daya Bay nuclear power station is located on the bank. Non-reef
coral communities are patchily and sporadically distributed in the
bay, with 34 species of hermatypic corals
