Please find below a number of "Pre-Work" items that should be completed prior to your session on 17 December 2014:
Complete a copy of your own Appraisal Form [Attachment 1] (only '2 - KPIs' sheet for now) based on the KPI Framework [Attachment 2] for your own role, and
prepare any questions that you may have (What does this KPI mean? How is it being measured? Why is the weightage on this KPI so high/low? etc.).
The completed Appraisal Form should be brought along to the individual sessions for discussion.
A sample Appraisal Form [Attachment 3] has been filled up for your reference, based on the KPIs of the IB Group COO. Based on your own role on the KPI Framework, the KPIs on the KPI Framework should be transferred to Column A of your Appraisal Form (Sheet 2 - KPIs), as per the four quadrants (Financial, Customer, Business Processes, Learning & Growth). Subsequently, the respective weightages on the KPI Framework should be transferred to Column B of your Appraisal Form, to match the KPIs themselves. Finally, any descriptions/parameters pertaining to the KPIs should be transferred from the KPI Framework to Column H of your Appraisal Form as well.
2. Have a think about the the tasks that you perform on a day to day basis, and whether the KPIs correctly reflect this. This should be brought up during the 1 to 1 discussion session with your direct
supervisor, but the IB CEO's Office can help with suggestions and tweaking of the KPIs to better reflect this.
Attached with this email is also a copy of the Performance Management Cascading Deck [Attachment 4], which will be used during the sessions.
