Responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and monitoring a variety of Environmental programs to execute our corporate responsible to stakeholders and community in line with Mubadala standards and policies.
Job Description:
HSSE Plans, Objectives. Policies and Programs
Lead the Development and Implementation of the Environmental plan and programme.
Lead the development and ensure implementation of company environmental procedures. Verify Environmental procedures are properly implemented by establishing and Auditing Plan and Programme.
Standards, Regulations and Procedures
Implement Company environmental standards, procedures and practices in line with international best practice, codes, standards, laws and regulations e.g. ISO, EIA
Implement environment hazard recognition, assessment techniques, and hazard abatement and control measures within the organisation
Provide a technical resource on Environmental and regulations in the organisation
Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Process
Communication key aspect.
Complete EIA consultant selection process and award and Manage EIA consultant.
Plan and Execution Environmental Baseline program.
Develop detailed EIA execution plan.
Plan and Organize Focus group meetings and Public Participation meetings as required by EIA process.
Lead and facilitate EIA studies
Coordinate with project team to ensure that HSE issues are properly incorporated into the decision making.
Manage EIA consultant and Quality check EIA report to ensure all aspect and issues have been covered before submission
Lead engagement with ONEP (Office of Natural Resources and Environment Policy and Planning), DMF (Department of Mineral Fuels) and other relevant stakeholders as deemed necessary for EIA approval in accordance with project plans.
Lead and facilitate Technical Review Committee (TRC) approval hearing.
Ensure that TRC findings are incorporated all responses in the Final EIA report and Execute submission.
EIA pre-audit program
Develop and Execute EIA pre-audit plan to ensure that the company’s activities comply with EIA and other standards.
Identify and investigate project Environment violations and make recommendation to avoid recurrent.
EIA Compliance audit program
Manage the Compliance audit program.
Verify that all compliance reports are completed timely and in line with all EIA requirements, company standards and standard operating procedures.
Prepare Compliance and Monitoring report and associate submission to ONEP and DMF.
Stakeholder Engagement.
Identify Key Stakeholder.
Develop Stakeholder Engagement plan and Implement.
Review stakeholder’s requirement from Public Participation meeting and Attitude survey.
Develop Stakeholder’s Engagement program and CSR activities regarding stakeholder requirements.
Develop stakeholder’s attitude survey program.
Develop next year plan for stakeholder engagement program and CSR activities regarding stakeholder comment and requirement.
Environment Management Performance
Co-ordinate with Production department to monitors the volume of GHG and produce water management system.
Prepare Environmental statistics, and reports timely and accurately to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards.
Audit and Verify waste management processes are being properly implemented.
Environmental Training
Organise training sessions, and appropriate communication on Environment topics to build awareness and reinforce the HSSE philosophy across the organisation.
Train junior staff in environmentally safe operating procedures, both onshore and offshore in order to ensure that the staff are all fully informed and can implement the SOP’s.
Monitoring of standards
Support the various departmental efforts to comply with all relevant Environment procedures and controls at all company locations to ensure legislative compliance.
Continuous Improvement
Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of the Environmental systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
A degree in Environmental Management/ Sciences or an equivalent qualification. Good knowledge of local and international legislation and regulations and best practice on HSE matters.
Experience:
More than 7 years of EOH experience in the Oil & Gas industry or major Hazard Industries.
Skills:
Work under pressure, Excellent Interpretation, Project Management ,good communication, Advanced computer, planning and organization, Ability to conduct environment impact investigations
