A ranking method (ISO, 2006)was used to determine the ratio of sucrose to Stevia RA98 in aqueous solutions which ensures isosweetness. In two separate experiments, 15 students were asked to rank Stevia RA98 solutions (concentration: 0.06e0.16 g/L) and a 24 g/L sucrose solution with respect to sweetness. Samples were encoded with 3-digit numbers. No ties were allowed. After calculating rank sums (a rank of one was assigned to the least sweet solution) the Friedman test was used to identify significance, and
a least-significant-difference test to judge which mean ranks differ from each other.
