Piper ra

         

 

                 Piper ramipilum , a species in Piper genus, is mostly found in the south of Thailand. Previous chemical studies carried out on the genus Piper have descried many components including unsaturated amides , flavonoids , lignans , aristolactams , long and short chain esters, steroids, propenylphenols and alkaloids. Plant extracts may be an alternative to currently used fungicides to control phytopathogenic fungi, because they virtually constitute a rich source of bioactive compounds. Piper ramipilum is also rarely studied about chemical composition. It is interesting to study the biological active compounds from  Piper ramipilum.
