The key factor will be in understanding and raising awareness of the potential contributions that edible insects can make to the environment, nutrition, and people's livelihoods. In these areas, reviving the tradition of eating insects has significant potential to improve rural livelihoods, enhance nutrition, and contribute to sustainable management of insect habitats (Durst and Shono 2008).
