Conclusion
The conditions including drying temperature, drying time and
biosorbents’ particle size for preparing banana peel, sugarcane bagasse
and watermelon rind were successfully optimised with respect
to Cu removal efficiency and/or energy consumption. All
these biosorbents have great potential as a techno-economical biosorbent
and betterments compared to other common agro-biosorbents
for removing copper from water. It was also found that
sugarcane bagasse had the highest biosorption capacity compared
to all the other common agricultural waste-based biosorbents.
