The EnGauge Framework adds “visual literacy” as related to information literacy. It includes “curiosity” and “risk taking” as core skills, as well as “managing complexity.” It stresses “prioritizing, planning, and managing for results.” “Multicultural literacy” is an explicit component. With the exception of the “effective communication” category, this shorter list focuses less on the overlap with 20th century curriculum than does the Partnership’s Framework. More emphasis is placed on new contextual skills and knowledge.
