As far as appearance was concerned statistically significant
differences (p < 0.05) were noted in respect of the control and the
strawberry and tangerine samples but not between the fruit
samples themselves. With respect to taste statistical significance
(p < 0.05) was found between banana and tangerine. When scores
were combined (an average of the score for appearance and taste)
statistically significance difference was again seen between banana
and tangerine. The preference test indicated that tangerine was
overall the preferred sample and the bananawas the least preferred
sample.
