These results are in line with the work
reported earlier where the influence of polymer latex on the
properties of cement concrete showed that there was a decrease in
the compressive strength of concrete of about 32% with the addition
of 10–20% polymeric materials; however, the flexural and
tensile strength were found to be increased [24]. The present
investigation showed that there was a decrease of compressive
strength of concrete about 21% and 27% with 5% and 15% GRP waste
substitution respectively.
