a) Flushing : operate the chemical circulation pump to flush the system with demin water until the effluent is clear and then drained completely. During flushing, all vents and drains must be opened to remove the loose particles, dirt and deposit
b) Leak-test : Use chemical circulation pump to leak test the system
c) Heating-up : filling the system with demin water and continue circulate the system and heating up the water to 60-80 C by temporary heat exchanger
d) Degreasing : add KAT-09S (Surfactant) in the continuously circulation system. While circulation, maintain the temperature for approx. 4 hour (For removed of oil and grease for prepare the surface before acid cleaning)
e) 1 st Acid Cleaning : Add 0.3%w/v KAT-31A Corrosion Inhibitor + 10.0%w/v Sulfamic Acid + 0.3%w/v ammonium bifluoride in continuously circulate the system. Moitor the cleaning process by analyzing the percentage of acid & total iron every 30 minutes. When the analysis show equilibrium result then stop circulation and drain.
f) 2 nd Acid Cleaning : Filling the system with demin water and continue circulate the system. Add 0.3%w/v Corrosion Inhibitor + 10%w/v Sulfamic Acid + 0.3%w/v ammonium bifluoride in continuously circulate the system. Monitor the cleaning process by analyzing the percentage of acid & total iron every 30 minutes. When the analysis show equilibrium result then stop circulation and drain.
g) 3 rd Acid Cleaning : Filling the system with demin water and continue circulate the system. Add 0.3%w/v Corrosion Inhibitor + 10%w/v Sulfamic Acid + 0.3%w/v ammonium bifluoride in continuously circulate the system. Monitor the cleaning process by analyzing the percentage of acid & total iron every 30 minutes. When the analysis show equilibrium result then stop circulation and drain.
h) Neutralization : Filling the system with demin water and continue circulate. Add citric acid and adjust pH of the solution with ammonia water
i) Passivation : slowly add 0.5%w/v sodium nitrite and continue circulation to complete the passivation step
j) Draining & rinsing : Drain the solution until the system is empty and rinse the system with demin water and drain.
k) Inspection : Isolate the system for inspection by visual inspection.
