ZnO nanorod is a kind of one-dimensional material with many
potential applications, such as UV photonics [1] and sensors [2,3],
field emissions [4], and piezoelectricity [5], due to its properties
such as wide direct band-gap of 3.37 eV, large exciton binding
energy of about 60 meV, controllable growth of highly oriented
structure onto substrates, which is referred to as ZnO nanorod
arrays (ZnO NRAs), etc.
