Just after slaughter, a piece of Longissimus thoracis (LT) muscle from
the 12th thoracic vertebra and a piece of subcutaneous fat (SF) from between
the atlas and axis cervical vertebraewere extracted and frozen in
liquid nitrogen until RNA isolation. A piece fromthe 4th to the 6th lumbar
vertebrae of LT muscle was vacuum-packed and kept at −80 °C in
