The last aspect of ADM that we sought to standardize was the daily huddle. Daily huddles are forums for managers and staff to come together to share information and discuss relevant concerns impacting patient care that day. These huddles take place 3 times a day and occur around the visibility wall. This continued focus on change processes encourages data sharing and discussion. Used in conjunction with our improvement initiatives, the tools of ADM are designed to promote leadership integration with process improvement, increase the level of staff engagement, and sustain improvement initiatives.
