. Conclusions
This is the first clinical trial to compare group-based boxing training to traditional exercise in persons with PD. In conclusion, traditional group exercise led to significantly greater improvements in balance confidence
than group boxing training. While both groups demonstrated improvements over time, group boxing training appears to be a promising non-traditional alternative to long-term community-based exercise for improving
gait endurance for persons with PD. In consideration that people with PD experience a decline in function in the time period after completing an intervention (Kwakkel et al., 2007), supporting options for longterm community-based exercise is an important issuefor rehabilitation professionals.
