People who are predisposed to
feel sad may, for example, be less likely to maintain the effort
necessary to find a better paying job. In addition, recent experimental
work has shown that when people are induced to feel
sad, they make financial decisions that prioritize smaller monetary
gains in the short term over larger monetary gains in the
long term.
