In C.zeylanicum the numbers 2n= 22 (x= 11), 2n= 30 ( x = 15) and 3n= 33 ( x = 11 ) were found; in C.macowanii the numbers 2n= 22, 4n= 44 (x= 11) occurred; in C.jagus as well as in C.glaucum, C.purpurrascens and C.natans the only number present was 2n= 22 (x= 11) (see Table 1 ) .
