The reticulated python was very proud of itself. It always was boastful. One day, a woodman was walking past while the reticulated python was sleeping. This made him wake up. So, it bit the woodman's shadow. He died soon. After that, it crept. While it was creeping, a crow was flying above it. It boasted of it powerful poison. It shouted, “I bit a man's shadow a moment ago, and he died.” When the crow heard that, it flew to see if it was true. At that time, some crabs were climbing on the dead body, so it couldn't see the body clearly. It thought that moving crabs on the body were a man who was breathing. Then, it flew back and said, “It wasn't true that the man died. I saw him by myself. He is still breathing.”
