Logistics Group with high expertise set to upgrade logistics standard
to the international level
Thai National Shippers’ Council aimed at importance of logistics
standardization. A group of experts has been gathered to brainstorm
and set guidance and standard for Thai logistics. The group includes
logistics experts in both private and public sectors to help set the standard
of equipments, procedures, human resources and how to provide
services. At the beginning the group will put the followings into consideration:
• To upgrade liners and create standard services and public liability
of freight forwarder for international shipment
• To push for a service contract according to SERVICECON
standard developed by BIMCO
• To set and enact the industrial standard for use of recycled
plastic pallet
• To set standard for procedure and Export Cost Structure
• To set standard for product and packaging testing for export
such as food packaging
• To set Green Logistics, applying Life Cycle Assessment or
LCA in analysis
• To set Key Performance Indicator or KPI in logistics in agricultural
production in accordance with Logistics Services Information
Center)
• To set standard for human resources in logistics
All aims to develop Thai capability in competition with foreign
competitors and get Thailand be ready for the full start of AEC.
