Among the Langmuir, Freundlich and Temkin isotherm models
applied to the adsorption data, the Langmuir was the best model
to describe the experimental data and the maximum adsorption
capacity obtained at 20
◦
C, pH 6 and an adsorbent dosage of 1 g L
−1
was of about 170 mg g
−1
.
A mean free energy of 16 kJ mol−1
, evaluated using the D–R
model indicated that the adsorption process was chemisorptions
process which occurred by ion exchange reactions
