Indeed, it is due to the nature of IHRM (global implications, cultural diversity, and local practices) that the topic and practice warrants increased focus and attention by society, HR, and management scholar-practitioners. The U.S. and its global neighbors are in an economic crisis, and the future appears uncertain. As organizations compete for consumers, they are discovering that they must take the fight to their competitor’s homeland.
