Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) using JEOL 200CX transmission electron microscope at 80 kV was performed in order to investigate the size and distribution of the elementary particles in the prepared CNC suspension. About 0.7 L of CNC-GS suspension was dripped onto a 300 mesh carbon coated formvar copper grid, using a labnet micropipette, and the water was allowed to evaporate. Additional drop of each cellulose nanocrystals suspensions was added onto their respective grids to increase the amount of cellulose particles and the process repeated.
