B. Tracer Kinetics Model
We have implemented two 3-comparmental models to
show the relationship among input function (Plasma Time
Activity Curve, PTAC), Tissue response (Tissue Time
Activity Curve, TTAC), compartmental model structure, and
values of K
(rate constants). A background MATLAB
program has been used to implement the following relation

is the measured data by PET, ⊗ is symbol for the
convolution operation [9]. Using MATLAB GUIDE
(Graphic User Interface Development Environment), we
have developed a user interface with three compartments as
boxes on panels (user interface containers) each representing
FDG in Plasma, Tissue and Phosphorylated FDG inside
tissue. Two PTAC are drawn on an axis as well as TTAC.
