A mixture containing 2.0 g of 3.5% carragenan solution, 8.0 g of
3.5% alginate solution and 0.100 g of betamethasone acetate were
agitated at 60°
C for 15 min. The mixture was then added dropwise
(using a 5 mL glass syringe equipped with a 20 µm inner diameter
needle) into a stirring salt solution composing of 100 mL of 3.0% KCl
and 100 mL of 3.0% CaCl2, while it was heated at desired temperatures
(25 or 55°
C).
