Temporal Aspects of Moral Disengagement
Though several studies have shown that moral disengagement is related
to school bullying, most studies have been cross-sectional and thus lack

Adopting an interactionist perspective on morality, the moral
disengagement theory posits that moral actions are products of the reciprocal
interplay between personal and social influences (Bandura, 1986, 1999). The
theory further emphasizes the transformative capacities of the ongoing interplay
between moral standards, the conduct and the conditions under which
it occurs, the perceived circumstances, and the consequences people apply
