The early symptoms of Ebola mimic the flu, so much so that most people with Ebola assume that their symptoms are due to the flu. Between 2 and 21 days after a person is infected, they can experience headaches that come and go several times a day. High fevers between 102 and 105 degrees are very common in Ebola. Patients suffering from Ebola also complain of severe muscle and joint aches, sore throats, severe stomach pains, weakness, substantial weight loss, and loss of appetite.
As the disease progresses, the patient will begin to experience bleeding inside their body. The noticeable bleeding comes from the eyes, ears, and nose. Some patients will vomit blood, or have a severe cough with produces blood. Bloody diarrhea and a rash are also reported in many Ebola patients.
