The purpose of the ANOVA was to decide which welding parameters
significantly affected the weld bead geometry. Results from
ANOVA were obtained by separating the total variability of the S/
N ratios, which was the sum of the squared deviations of the total
mean of the S/N ratio, into contributions by each welding process
parameter and its error. The percentage contribution for each
parameter in the total of the squared deviations was used to evaluate
the influence of the process parameter change on the weld
