The Kazakh
This is perhaps the oldest horse breed in Kazakhstan. The oldest mention of a Kazakh horse was in the 5th century BCE. It is only the size of a pony, but it can carry a man all day and has developed an extremely strong jaw in order to eat the tough local vegetation. There are two varieties of Kazakhs bred - the Adeav and the Jabe. The Jabe is considered the finer riding horse, while the Adeav is used more for meat and milk in order to make the local popular fermented beverage "kumiss
