These results have theoretical as well as clinical implications for the ADHD population.
The results of our study are in accordance with those of other studies that indicate that children with ADHD differ significantly from children without ADHD in their sensory processing.
These differences seem to be consistent among different age groups.
As noted, in comparing this study to that of Dunn and Bennett (2002), only minor differences were found between the findings of the studies, which could perhaps be attributed to development stage.
Nevertheless, since differences were found, and due to the paucity of research, more research is necessary before we can arrive at more definitive conclusions regarding differences between age groups.
