Scope and Method of Study: The purpose of this study was to increase knowledge about
biblical faith in a local congregation to assist them in giving answers to those who
ask the reason for their hope in Christ. The study was conducted in a local
congregation, Calvary Hill Assemblies of God Church in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, in a
seminar setting. The study employed a pretest-posttest instrument among a
treatment and control group to measure the participants' increased knowledge
about biblical faith. The participants in the study were led in an examination of
Old Testament and New Testament examples of faith as well as the writings of
various authors and theorists regarding historical faith, saving faith, and serving
faith. The seminar was conducted during regularly-scheduled Wednesday evening
services over a four-week timeframe. Results of the participants' pretests and
posttests were compiled and evaluated to measure the study results.
