2.2. Key performance indicators for measuring
the performanceThe performance of the business and services models ismeasured with key performance indicators (KPIs). Potential keyperformance indicators are presented in Table 2, in which KPIs areclassified into three groups: environmental, economic and servicelevel indicators. The KPI’s will be selected by the stakeholders mea-suring the success of the model. As an example, energy consumercan measure the performance based on the total energy consump-tion and energy costs.
For each business concept or model, a suitable set of KPIs can bechosen based on the objectives and needs of the organisation at agiven time. The metering of KPI’s will give basis for evaluation ofthe success of business model concepts
