The line graph gives information about the variation of the household use of CD player, home computer, mobile phone and internet access in the UK from 1996 to 2003.
The basic general trend in this graph is upward. To begin with, CD player remained the most popular modern technology in the UK among these four. The percentage of households using CD player rose gradually from 60 percent in 1996/1997 to over 80 percent in 2002/2003. Likewise, there was a slight increase in the percentage of households using home computer from nearly 30 percent in 1996/1997 to over 50 percent in 2002/2003.
On the other hand, in 1996/1997, the percentage of mobile phone was the lowest, less than 20 percent. However, it increased dramatically to almost 70 percent in 2002/2003. Similarly, internet access, it started at the lowest percentage with only 10 percent in 1998/1999. But after that it climbed significantly to over 40 percent in 2002/2003.
To sum up, All of these modern technologies have upward figures and it shows that the highest number of access to modern technologies are CD player and
mobile phone.
