Conclusions
The results of the present research indicate that the temperature
of calcination is an important parameter for the production
of SCBA with pozzolanic activity. Furthermore, the following conclusion
can be drawn: the SCBA produced with air calcination at
600 C for 3 h (3 after hours at 350 C) with a rate of heating of
10 C/min presents amorphous silica, low carbon content and high
specific surface area. The sample produced with these characteristics
presents considerable pozzolanic activity according to both
mechanical and chemical methods of evaluation.
