Finally, the antimicrobial activity found in grape seeds extracts,
especially against Gram-positive bacteria like S. aureus subsp.
aureus and Listeria. as well as. Gram-negative bacteria as Pseudomonas
aeruginosa. Salmonella entérica subsp. enteric and Echerichia
coli, is a capable finding to fight the most frequent causes of
bacterial food-borne infections in developed countries. Further
tests are needed to confirm these screening results in other in vitro
and in vivo assays, e.g., in selected food model systems
