One of the aims of this paper was to try to produce a picture
from fragmented studies to group different insights. In selecting
works from diverse authors with backgrounds in psychology, sociology
or political science, the idea was to overcome the lack of integrated
empirical studies on learning from experience. By doing so,
the outcome remains rather artificial but does clearly indicate
some of the many challenges faced in terms of learning from experience.
The diversity of studies selected is complementary and covers
a wide range of issues, for different steps. It demonstrates that
