Stout
This beer is almost similar to the porter beer. It is the darkest and thickest of all the beers. This beer contains very strong barley and low hops flavors. Stouts are often brewed with some unmalted roasted barley so as to have a very dark coffee like character. There are different types of stouts including cream stouts, dry stouts and oatmeal stouts. Examples of stouts are the Guinness Extra Stout, Murphys Irish Stout and the Guinness Pub Draught. Guinness is the most famous stout and it is known as a dry stout because most of its sugars are used up during the process of fermentation leaving the stout with a crisp and a low sweet flavor. These beers are most popular in Ireland. Ireland is often referred as the home of Guinness.
