Discriminant validity
The results of discriminant validity tests show that the
measures of constructs are different from each other.
Discriminant validity can be assessed by examining whether
the square root of the AVE of each construct is larger than
the correlation between constructs (Fornell and Larcker,
1981; Chin, 1998). The smallest value of the square root of
the AVE of the constructs in this study (0.833 for narrative
transportation) was larger than the correlation between
constructs, as shown in Table 2, confirming discriminant
validity. In conclusion, the measurement model proposed in
this study demonstrated adequate reliability, convergent
validity, and discriminant validity
