The apparatus consisted of an automatic headspace sampler
Turbomatrix HS40 (PerkinElmer) connected to an Agilent 6890
Plus gas chromatograph. The headspace sampler provided for high
experimental throughput due to built-in sequence optimization.
The control of essential parameters of headspace sampling was furnished
by Turbomatrix HS40 firmware and the control and evaluation
of the chromatographic process proper by HP ChemStation
software on an interfaced PC. The chromatograph was equipped
with FID and a capillary column DB-WAX 530 lm 15 m and
