The exhibition director is young architect Tsuyoshi Tane, whose office in Paris; Dorell.Ghotmeh.Tane / Architects has been in the spotlight as designer of the Estonian National Museum and as finalist of the competition for the New National Stadium of Japan. Tane focuses on Gehry's "power of ideas," which greatly affected his own work, composing the exhibition from the three perspectives of "architecture," "people," and "technology."
The exhibition features projection mapping where one can visually experience exteriors full of the life force of Gehry's architectures and comfortable interior spaces, along with "Gehry's ROOM" where one can get a feel for Gehry as a person. It also introduces Gehry's ideas born from building, tearing down, building again, questioning, and sometimes rejecting, along with the technologies, materials, and construction processes necessary for achieving those.
The "ideas" of architect Frank Gehry - sources of wonder, discovery, happiness, and emotion to visitor - along with the stance of him working to achieve those demonstrate the enjoyment of thinking freely and inspiration to keep striving. This applies to architects and those working in construction as WELL as the many people involved in design and making things.
