Mean amplitudes and component peak latencies were analyzed using repeated measures analyses of variance (ANOVAs) with Greenhouse-Geisser correction. Our within-subjects factor was the price level/choice combinations (hereafter PL/C), which was analyzed as a single factor with four levels: no promotion/buys, no promotion/non-buys, promotion/buys, and promotion/non-buys. Our between-subjects factor was Math Anxiety (High vs. Low). As noted earlier, we included numeracy as a covariate in addition to individual subject-level effects
