If both genders are mature enough to realize they are JUST roommates, not being put together to service each other, then the problems will be the same as roommates of the same gender would be. It also depends on whether there is a bathroom they will all share or if there will be a "boys" bathroom and a "girls" bathroom--or if the bathrooms are community bathrooms down the hall. In a shared private bathroom, you're going to have the fight over whether the toilet seat should be left up or down, who cleans the bathroom, who has to buy toilet paper and replace toilet paper.
If you are lucky enough to get considerate, mature roommates, their genders won't matter that much. Each with respect the others, respect their privacy, try to work any differences or problems out. It's when you get some juvenile roommate who thinks everyone else should clean up after him/her, that he/she has a right to everyone's stuff, thinks he/she is the prince/princess--that's when you get problems and that would happen even if you had all girl roommates (if you are a girl yourself) or all boy roommates (if you are a boy). Respect each other. You may like to study to loud pounding music but not everyone will--so use headphones (even if you don't want to). You may be hungry but if you haven't shopped for food for yourself, you have no right to eat anyone else's food--no matter how hungry you may be. Shared stuff (like toilet paper) you all will have to decide how to handle that
