(9) Written Documentation: Presenting the information generated
during the EIA study in an appropriate format is important for
communicating the findings. The format of written documentationalso reflects the degree of integration of an impact prediction
methodology into the process. In the Vegetation Management EIS,
the written documentation reflected rather poor integration in that
the entire risk assessment and examination of health impacts was
presented as a separate appendix, then summarized in the body of
the EIS as a section of the Environmental Consequences chapter.
Some integration was observed in the WIPP SEIS, since the risk
assessment and health impacts were presented within the body of the
EIS, with auxiliary data presented in appendices or other sections
of the EIS. Regarding the presentation of the results in both EISs,
an integrated summary of the health impacts analyzed was lacking.
