Fujitsu Adds Support for Mission-Critical Tasks and Dispatch to its Logifit Series of Revolutionary Logistics Solutions
Tokyo, January 27, 2016 Fujitsu today announced the addition of two products to its FUJITSU Logistics Solution Logifit series, which is revolutionizing logistics
operations: Logifit TM-Core, a mission-critical tasks solution, and Logifit TM-Dispatch, a dispatch-support solution. Sales of these two products begin in Japan today.
Logifit TM-Core, provided for transportation and delivery companies, is a mission-critical task solution that can batch together tasks in transportation and delivery, such as taking orders, dispatch control, sales, billing and payments management, and management income and expenditures. In addition to supporting a variety of sales methods depending on the type of delivery, such as route deliveries, multiple loading and unloading deliveries, or medium-to-long distance shipping, it also connects with Fujitsu's other systems, such as warehouse and operations management. This enables integrated transportation-related income and expenses management to make it possible to easily analyze management income and expenses based on the actual performance of day-to-day tasks.
Logifit TM-Dispatch, provided for both transportation and delivery companies and companies that perform tasks including deliveries, is a dispatch-support solution that can plan optimal delivery routes and loading, or the use of a consignment delivery service. It can automatically create delivery plans for medium- to long-distance delivery tasks and loading and unloading during deliveries, as well as calculate the corresponding expenses for each delivery vehicle route for different delivery companies from each area's fare table, and then select the appropriate consignment delivery service and route. These enable efficiencies and cost reductions in delivery tasks.
In recent years, as the demand for improved transportation and delivery quality has been growing, there has been an increasing need for the deployment of systems to reduce burden and increase efficiency, due to worsening shortages of drivers and operations managers.
Fujitsu is now strengthening logistics management as a whole by adding these two products, Logifit TM-Core and Logifit TM-Dispatch, to its Logifit series of logistics solutions.
1. Supports multiple delivery types, reduces operational burden of sales management This product features sales management functions that support a variety of different transportation and shipping types, such as route deliveries where the fees are calculated based on the number of trucks used, multiple loading and unloading deliveries from multiple cargo owners, or medium- to long-distance deliveries consigned to a dedicated transportation and delivery company. This enables billing and payments for each type just by selecting the transportation type in the system, reducing workload.
2. Enables users to grasp income and expenditures on a per customer and per site basis By linking it with Fujitsu's logistics center management system Logifit WM, this product enables integrated management of not only transportation and delivery, but also combined management of billing and payments for warehouse use, as well as billing information for handling(1), storage, and freight. This contributes to improving management by allowing users to get a handle on expenses per customer and per site, such as, for example, when a customer places an order, users can confirm the approximate total amount of warehouse operations expenses, storage expenses, and truck transportation expenses.
3. Enables prompt account settlement through links with operation management, financial and accounting, and HR and payroll systems This product features a standard interface with Logifit TM-NexTR, which analyzes operating vehicles and supports operations tasks, as well as with the FUJITSU Enterprise Application GLOVIA series of systems for finance, accounting, human resources, and payroll. By linking it with accurate labor information, such as actual operating time, and accurate journal information, such as billing, payments and liabilities, this product offers prompt account settlement.
