Sir Walter Raleigh answered"The Passionate Shepherd to His Love" The nymph was mentioned to answer the shepherd. In the previous poem, the shepherd persuaded a woman to love and live with him. He offered her many valuable things. This poem was to accept or refuse him. For the nymph, she replied that things that the shepherd had offered were meaningless since she believed that every thing came to an end, and not all the shepherd told the truth about love. In the last stanza, she proposed that if love was forever bred and happiness was with him, she would love and live with him. It seemed that she didn't accept his persuasion.
