“We held a woman patient tightly so that she could take medication.
Two male students and I were in practice, we restrained her with an assistant
to administer her medication. At that time, her father took a look
at the situation, but he did not say anything. He also knew that if we did
not hold her, she would act wildly. Her father understood the situation.
After that experience, I certainly felt that psychiatry was not appropriate
for me” (Participant 6).
