When the amount of apyrase is very low, insufficient dNTP degradation
occurs where dNTPs stay in the reaction chamber for a
long period. False signals and peak broadening are produced (as
shown in Fig. 2A and B) when these dNTPs are incorporated with
newly injected dNTP species. When the apyrase amount is high,
dNTPs are degraded before extension of the DNA strand is complete.
